Seraphim is a work made in homage to early Italian miniatures and frescos. It is an annunciation, not of an impossible miracle, but of the simple miracles: of the forces of wonder, of the very preciousness of our own lives. The vapor vessel, suspended as if by magic in the deep rich blue jeweled setting, is an outcry for meaning and reverence.
